It's a....

Today we had our 18 week ultrasound. This was an appointment that we've been looking forward to for weeks. Well, really, since the moment we found out we were pregnant. Geoff insisted that we find out the sex. I wasn't exactly fighting him on this. I had no will power to wait until Mira was born to find out if she was a boy or a girl and it was the exact same with this one.

I like the idea of a surprise at the end of a long 9 months of waiting. However, I like the idea of planning even more. Knowing that Mira was a girl (after being so convinced she was a boy) was a little surprising and overwhelming, but it was nice to get to know my daughter a little bit before meeting her.

Today, we early awaited the answer as to whether our little bundle of joy would be a son or a daughter. The verdict was announced with all three of us there together (Geoff, Mira and I). We discovered that this little maniac that hasn't stopped kicking me is a little boy. Our son.

Although in one of these pictures our son looks more like an alien than a baby in the making (all babies look a little freaky on ultrasound), we are excited about adding a little boy to the family. It will balance out the males and females in the house. :)

So here are some snaps of our son. Only a few more months and we'll be welcoming Geoff's little hockey sidekick into the world.
